Graphic and Type Design Info 00/10

Practice of Katharina Köhler with a collaborative approach speciallized in graphic and type design

Type, typography, and graphic design embody language, the foundation of our culture. My design practice lies at their intersection, rooted in a deep awareness of their history and cultural context.
Collaboration with others is an essential aspect of my practice. I am part of the collective and independent digital typefoundry Camelot Typefaces together with Maurice Göldner and Wolfgang Schwärzler. From 2017 to 2022 I was an active member of the KV—Verein für zeitgenössische Kunst Leipzig e. V. Since 2022 I am part of the board of the open book society e. V. for which I organized the Walter Tiemann Prize 2024 together with Jan Blessing and Andrea Tinnes.
